Baseball Programs

T&C Baseball offers programs for ages 3 to 14 with spring and fall leagues. There are several levels of competition offered in the spring, while the fall league is recreational.

Recreational League

For ages 3 to 14 (4U – 14U), recreational baseball emphasizes fundamentals and instruction, while developing character traits like teamwork and good sportsmanship.  Pre-season player assessments are held for new and returning players (8U and up) to show their skills in front of all the coaches for their league.

All children participating in player assessments will be placed on teams during the draft. All players missing the assessment will be drawn blindly and placed on teams. T-ball players (4U – 6U divisions) are placed on teams by neighborhoods.

Practices are held at both T&C and other local facilities.

For the spring season AA and AAA (more competitive) divisions are offered in 8U and 10U.

AA VS AAA Comparison (Spring Season)

  • AA division is a regular “recreational” league. They will play other AA T&C teams in their league. All games are held at the T&C fields. They may also play in mid-season tournaments. This is the division that most of the players in these age groups play in.
  • AAA division offers experienced players a more competitive environment over our regular AA division. Teams will be picked through tryouts and a draft conducted at T&C. To be considered for the AAA division a player must attend tryouts.  If a player signed up for AAA is not selected in the AAA draft that player will automatically be placed in the AA draft pool. AAA teams will occasionally travel to play other AAA teams from surrounding leagues.

Centex All Stars

All Stars is offered in June for recreational players 6U – 14U. Players are nominated by their coaches at the end of the spring season. Teams will play other area league teams.

Open Teams

The Town & Country Open Team Program (aka Select) is an extension of the Town & Country Baseball program and intended to offer players 9U – 16U an opportunity to play competitive tournament baseball. Open teams offer a more competitive environment compared to our recreational league play and are for players in 9U – 16U divisions. These are invitation-only teams (players must try out and be selected by the team’s coach). Most teams will play and travel to tournaments throughout the season.

As part of the program, all teams are expected to support the T&C Baseball program by active board membership and participation.

T&C Open/Select Teams are approved each season (both Spring and Fall) by the Baseball Executive Baseball Board and are required to register with Town & Country Baseball for each season in which they plan to participate. Teams will receive insurance coverage from T&C and are able to secure practice slots at the T&C campus throughout the season.

To apply as a T&C Baseball Open team, please contact T&C Baseball.  The Executive Board reviews all applications.  Teams must apply along with a preliminary roster to be considered.

Tryouts for Open Teams

All approved open teams must conduct at least one player try-out at Town & Country and publish it via the T&C Baseball website. Please contact T&C Baseball if you have any questions that are not already answered in the “FAQ’s” section.

Players looking to tryout – please visit the T&C Baseball home page for any upcoming tryouts.
