Town and Country Optimist Club Lightning and Thunder Policy
When you see lightning or hear thunder, immediately suspend activities and go to a shelter. A metal vehicle or substantial building is a safe place. Wait until 30 minutes after the last observed lightning or thunder before resuming activities.
The lightning light is located by the softball fields on the tallest light pole. When flashing please have everyone exit the fields to a safe place. In addition, we will use a "air horn". When you hear "four blasts" exit the fields, "two blasts" you may return to the field.
